They had to move the firetrucks out to make room for them all. For even more photos, check out the show’s website.

My boyfriend is the proud recipient of my most recent successful craft project. I made wheel bags (for his precious carbon bicycle wheels) from the billboard I acquired from CBS Outdoor last year, and I have to say, they turned out wonderfully! I just drew circles onto the billboard, cut the same size out of fleece for the lining, and sewed them together with a zipper in the middle. I think I’ll try to sell them (Lee has lots of teammates with expensive bikes…he he) for around $40 each.

I actually made this quilt a few years ago but I recently decided I should take pictures of all my craft and sewing projects, and that includes retroactively taking pictures of my old projects. I really like the way this quilt turned out. Which is fortunate, because I had no idea what I was doing or whether my random pieces would look good in the order I arranged them in. Its made of hemp scraps which I purchased from a lady at the Whole Earth Festival who makes hemp clothes. I think that the materials in this quilt cost me less than $20 total.
